Bonnie Light Crude Oil
Bonny Light oil is a high grade of Nigerian crude oil with high API gravity (low specific gravity), produced in the Niger Delta basin and named after the prolific region around the city of Bonny. Bonny Light Crude Oil (BLCO) is ship overseas to our counterparty refineries and process crude oil and other oil-based feed stock to produce/supply motor & jet fuels, lubricants and chemical products. The Nigerian products as superior and environmentally friendly over the tested foreign crude. Light Crude Oil is liquid petroleum, which contains a low density and can flow freely at room temperature. It has a low specific gravity, high API gravity and low viscosity because of the presence of high percentage of fractions of light hydrocarbons. It is composed of a high number of paraffin’s, which are branched and straight chain hydrocarbons that have high hydrogen to carbon ratio. It contains two hydrogen atoms each for a single carbon atom. It is considered that the best Light Crude Oil contains approximately 60 percent of paraffin.
PIPELINE
Pipelines are energy lifelines, making almost every daily activity possible. Pipelines play a huge role in everyday lives and are essential to the nation’s industries. Yet, few people are aware of the work done by the country’s more than 190,000-mile liquid petroleum pipeline network and 2.4 million-mile natural gas pipeline network that delivers the products that are integral parts of America’s economy. It is a network that delivers the nation’s crude oil and petroleum products (such as gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, home heating oil, and natural gas) reliably, safely, efficiently, and economically.
JET FUEL STORAGE FACILITY
Jet A-1 are kerosene-type fuels. The primary difference between the two is freeze point, the temperature at which wax crystals disappear in a laboratory test. Jet A, which is mainly used in the United States, must have a freeze point of minus 40ºC or below and does not typically contain static dissipator additive. Jet A-1 must have a freeze point of minus 47ºC or below and for locations outside the United States, this fuel normally contains static dissipator additive. There are other key differences between the manufacturing specification within the United States and Europe/Africa/Middle East/Australasia.
